Biography:
Ashley Joanna "Ash" Williams is a character best known for his role in the Evil Dead horror franchise. He first appeared in the 1981 film, The Evil Dead.
Initially a simple S-Mart housewares employee, Ash's life takes a turn when he and his friends stumble upon the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis (the "Book of the Dead") during a vacation to a remote cabin. He is forced to battle hordes of demonic entities known as Deadites.
Over the course of the franchise, Ash evolves from a terrified survivor into a wisecracking, chainsaw-wielding anti-hero. His signature weapon is his "Boomstick," a sawed-off double-barreled shotgun. Despite his bravado, Ash is often incompetent and makes numerous mistakes, adding a comedic element to the horror.
